Read and Rescue

I am a life-long animal lover. For years, my family and I served as a foster home for a local animal rescue group and many cats and kittens have brightened our lives with their presence during their journey to their forever homes. Sadly, that rescue group shut down and I have been looking for another way to improve the lives of animals in need.

My search led me to Read and Rescue, the brain-child of fellow animal-loving author Dorothy Callahan. Read and Rescue is comprised of published authors who wish to help animals through the sales of their books. Authors displaying the logo shown on this post pledge a portion of proceeds to a charity of their choice. For my part, I pledge a portion of the proceeds from the sale of my books to Central Georgia CARES; you can find out more about their mission here.

I am very excited about this opportunity! Now, my two biggest passions, writing and animals, go hand-in-hand – or should I say hand-in-paw?

