** The contest is now closed. Congratulations to winner Lynda Bailey! **

Whoo hoo, I am happy dancing with excitement! My newest story, The Nerd in Shining Armor, is now available for pre-order as a part of Nine Deadly Lives, An Anthology of Feline Fiction. As a matter of fact, I am so excited that I will be giving away a free ebook copy on Saturday, October 3rd. Just comment on this post to be entered for a chance to win!

Nine Deadly Lives features cat-themed short stories by thirteen authors. The ebook version is now available for pre-order on Amazon and Smashwords. You can order your copy now and it will automatically download to your device when the book goes live on October 2nd. If you prefer print books, no worries! The print version will also be available on October 2nd (or shortly thereafter, depending on the retailer).

The stories contained in the anthology are as varied as the authors that wrote them and run the range from mystery and historical to fantasy and romance. As usual, my story is romance. Here’s the blurb:

The Nerd in Shining Armor

Abigail “Abby” Sanders is an overworked bookkeeper struggling to find balance in her life. An unexpected hero comes to her rescue in the form of a battle-scarred brown tabby.

Ryan McAllister is a nerd with a love for film-making and homeless animals. He decides to combine his passions by making a film starring cats from the local animal shelter. He quickly realizes that his project is more than he can handle alone.

Ryan and Abby team up to finish the project in time for the annual shelter fund-raiser. Can they find fur-ever homes for their feline stars? Will Abby realize that the only thing really missing from her life is a nerd in shining armor?
